Many definatly saw Mrs Dubose as a somewhat pitiless and unpleasant lady but maybe if the community gave her a chance, they could see that there was a different side to her. If only they could see the real Mrs Dubose. The lady inside that was definatly nothorrible...who was not mean...and who, in actual fact had been struggling with various hardships throughout her life. One of the main difficulties she faced was her illness.She began to rely on morphine to ease her pain and soon enough her body was wanting it notonly for medical purposes but was infact captivated by the effects of the drug.
